‘Sex on the Beach’ Expo Producer Charged with Falsifying Police Report

Daniel Merandi, president and chairman at On The Edge Entertainment Group Worldwide and producer of the Sex on The Beach Expo, allegedly was involved in a physical altercation with Exxxotica Expo security while attending the adult convention last month in Chicago — a story which made the local newspaper ‘The Journal’.

The Sex on the Beach Expo is scheduled for it’s first event September 28-30, 2012 at the Miami Beach Convention Center; the former location of the Exxxotica Expo.  For more information on the Sex on the Beach Expo click here.

Merandi, 31, told police that he was removed from the show floor by expo security, handcuffed and physical assaulted after he had hugged an Exxxotica employee. Later that same day Merandi reported the battery incident to the local authorities.

Responding officers questioned the two off-duty police officers involved in the incident. While admitting that they had dealt with Merandi earlier, they denied any wrong doing. Two other witnesses corroborated their story.

Merandi was charged with disorderly conduct and filing a false police report.

Additional information is still coming in on this developing story.
